I think I have come to the realization that my blog is not really like many of those I see out in the blogosphere. I am not really selling anything. I am not in the young mom category with organization and penny pinching proclivities. I am certainly not an authority on setting up and running a blog.
So, what am I doing with a blog site? Well, making money would be nice, but I’m not sure how I would do that unless people really like my writing about anything and everything and keep coming back for more. I do have some ideas for downsizing and simplifying for those of us without small children and hectic jobs. I will attempt to put these into downloadable form soon.
I’m not a really a creative crafter, although I do love to craft and crochet. So occasionally I will, with a total lack of embarrassment, share with you one of my “creations”—just for fun. Here is my latest—I have been looking at these wreaths on Pinterest for quite a while and decided this summer I needed one for my front door. What do you think?
Just search for bandana wreaths on Pinterest for directions from several different sources.
In the meantime, I intend to just write about whatever I’m passionate about today. Worried about and/or praying about in my life. To put to words the feelings of getting older, empty nests and busy adult children. Physical changes that make life challenging. Maybe there are enough of us out there that we can share in a conversation together about this final 1/3 of our life and what it feels like.
So, stay tuned for diverse blogs on almost any subject—let me know if you have any ideas for me to blog on, and please don’t give up on me!

Thank you for your blog. I too am in the (early) last 1/3 and it’s hard to find interesting people on here with my same interests and understanding. I’m not interested in how to shop for a young family, care for babies and homeschool.
Wreath is cute, I may try it thanks for putting it out there. Have a great summer, see you around

Melinda,
Thanks so much for your kind words! Good to know someone else understands where I am in life. I hope to keep you interested as I go along…..
